Package matched to your experience and capability

The £40,000 to £52,000+ figure is a total package, not a guaranteed basic salary.

For an experienced engineer with strong servicing, repair and heating-system knowledge who can manage a varied workload independently.

Senior Heating & Fault-Finding Engineer

Future Progression

Route beyond £52,000

For engineers who develop with the company and take on more responsibility.

As Smart Heat Experts grows, there may be future opportunities to move into senior engineer, lead engineer, survey, design, training or technical support roles.

Progression is based on proven skill, reliability, customer feedback, job quality, communication, training completed and the value you bring to the team.

A role with room to build a future, not just fill a seat.

The ranges above are guide package opportunities. The final package will be agreed following a review of qualifications, proven experience, independent technical capability, customer care and the responsibilities of the role.

How the working year fits together

Our work follows the seasons. Winter is our busiest and most structured time, when customers rely on us most, so you put in some extra weekday hours through the colder months.

Those extra winter hours are banked and given straight back to you in the summer. There is no standard weekend working, your weekends stay protected, and from July to October you get earned Friday finishes, giving you more of the summer to yourself.

It is a simple, fair trade. You work a little more when we are busiest, and take more time back when things are quieter, with predictable weekday hours and a genuine focus on work life balance.

You will have a company van and a fuel card for your work, and you will need a reliable way to reach the Haywards Heath office each working day.
